Maxwell Levinson - Academic Success Coach
Maxwell "Max" Levinson is a third year student at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. His tutoring style focuses on starting with the basics of a topic and doing guided practice to incrementally build on the skills a client already has.
He developed this style of tutoring during his time at the Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida, where he assisted fellow students in both Math and English, specifically essay writing and revising.
Max has extensive math experience, including calculus, as well as argumentative and compositional writing experience at both the high school and college level. Throughout his tutoring experience he has witnessed how anxiety and the ideas we have about a self-image of intelligence can affect someone's ability to learn. More often than not, these anxieties and self-doubts are the things that impact our learning the most, but we all have the potential to learn more. With these tutoring sessions his goal is to help someone overcome these anxieties and discover that they are capable and intelligent.
In his off time, Max enjoys table tennis, working out, competitive fighting games, building mechanical keyboards, and accompanying his sister to Taylor Swift concerts.
Max can provide services both virtual and in-person, given availability and location. In addition to Math and English studies, he can offer general studying advice and practices that will help you across subjects. He looks forward to working with you and helping you accomplish your academic goals.
